A little something about me

Hi there! I look forward to getting to know you soon, but I figured I would give you a little sneak peek into who I am before you choose me as your doula.

I feel most at peace when I am outside in nature. I try to go paddleboarding on Lake Austin every chance I get, and I am always trying out new hikes in the greater Austin area. When I asked my bestie what a few of my strengths are, she quickly responded with "Loyal, honest, quick-witted, incredibly selfless, drives out the best in people, and has a grateful heart through everything." Her words, not mine... but I happily agree with her affirming words ;)

I love golfing with my husband, watching my kids play together, snuggling with them all around me on our comfy couch, meeting up with friends for coffee (iced or hot), having deep conversations, and studying the Bible. I fully believe God placed the calling for a passion in birth work in my life, both physical and spiritual, a long time ago. It is rewarding to pursue those passions and feel like I am living out my purpose. I am always praying for the future families that I will get to serve, and I believe He will direct the right families to me :)

I have had a passion for pregnancy and birth since the first time I found out I would become a mother in 2010. I am now a mom to four beautiful children (ages 12, 9, 5 & 3 as of the time I am typing this), and each of their birth experiences has led me to become a doula. I am all done having children myself, but still want to surround myself in the birth world and help mothers during this huge transition of life. I am thankful to have a great support system around me that makes it possible to step away from my mom life and serve other families. I couldn't do this without them.

Giving birth is one of the biggest workouts in a woman's life - both physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. As an online health and fitness coach, I have spent 12+ years supporting and encouraging women, and I am happy to offer those online coaching services to my prenatal and postnatal mamas as well, if desired :)

I believe that no matter how or where you decide to deliver your baby, the mother is born too. I want to thank you for even considering me to be your doula; it would be an honor to serve you and be in that sacred birth space as you experience the euphoria of holding your baby for the first time.
